Interserve's New Lincoln Office Off To A Flying Start
Less than twelve months after Interserve opened a new office in Lincoln, the international support services and construction group reports the winning of three major clients, taking turnover for the group's new regional office to over £10 million.
Schemes won include a variety of works for the University of Lincoln, United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust and Her Majesty's Prison Lincoln.
For its first scheme for the University of Lincoln, Interserve, as part of a fast track project, is refurbishing three floors of the University's MHT building. The ground floor will house the Media Archive for Central England, (the public sector screen archive for the East and West Midlands). Works are being carried out whilst areas are in use, requiring careful planning to accommodate the day to day practical needs of students and teaching staff. At the time of writing, the contract is currently on site, with completion imminent.
The contract with United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is an NHS P21+ Framework Contract for which Interserve has been appointed official construction partner. The scheme will see Interserve handling the refurbishment of the ICU and Endoscopy departments at the Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. Works started in June, and are due for completion in early 2012.
At HMP Lincoln, Interserve is currently in the design and planning stage of a project which is part of a framework contract with the Ministry of Justice. Works here include the construction of a new reception building and the refurbishment of various areas around the site. Work on site is due to commence in early 2012. Earlier this year, Interserve had successfully completed the re-cladding and upgrade works to HMP North Sea camp in Boston.
Commenting on behalf of Interserve, John Lingard, Contracts Manager for the Lincoln area said: "I am delighted that Interserve's Lincoln office has got off to such a flying start. To have gained three such prestigious clients in under twelve months is quite an achievement, and it is good news that the company is now able to serve the local community for Lincolnshire better than ever before."
