Morrell Re-Appointed As Government's Chief Construction Adviser

Paul Morrell has been re-appointed as the Government’s chief construction adviser by Business Minister Mark Prisk.

Mr Morrell, who was first appointed Chief Construction Adviser in December 2009, for a two year period will be reappointed for a further year so that he can oversee the reforms set out in the Government Construction (Procurement) Strategy and play a part in the establishment of the Green Construction Board, both of which are now moving into the delivery phase.

Mr Prisk said: "I'm very pleased that Paul has agreed to be re-appointed as the Government’s chief construction adviser. He has made significant progress championing a more coordinated approach to affordable, sustainable construction both within industry and Government.

"Over the next year he will see through the action plans which he has instigated - the Government Construction Strategy and the Green Construction Board. I very much look forward to continuing to work with him over the next year."
