Willmott Dixon Scoops 8th Procure 21+ Contract
Willmott Dixon has secured its eighth ProCure 21+ project after being selected by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SWYPFT) as its long-term strategic partner.
Willmott Dixon will work closely with SWYPFT to deliver its £24m capital investment programme over the next five years to equip the Trust to meet its strategic vision for services to improve the user experience.
The scope of capital work ranges from M&E renewal and energy efficiency advice to ward refurbishments and further infrastructure work. Initially Willmott Dixon will assist on planning matters and helping SWYPFT develop its estate strategy to identify priorities in its investment programme.
SWYPFT provides community, mental health and learning disability services to the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield, and some medium secure services to Yorkshire and the Humber.
Working with Willmott Dixon will be members of its ProCure 21+ supply chain including Medical Architecture, providing architectural and strategic design advice, URS Scott Wilson as M&E and structural services consultant and VB Johnson as cost advisor.
ProCure 21+ is a framework provided by the Department of Health for the procurement of new and refurbished NHS facilities. Although not compulsory, ProCure 21+ has become the most popular route for NHS capital projects.
Jon Taylor, pre-construction director for Willmott Dixon in the North commented: "Willmott Dixon's appointment in this partnership emphasises the value that South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust places in our ability to be its strategic partner in delivering important long-term estate improvements. We will provide advice and support in the design and planning stage and then carry out construction work with our team of advisors to ensure SWYPFT is equipped to meet the future needs of people who use the services."
