Efficiency North Appoints Lovell To £975m Framework
Efficiency North (EN) has selected Lovell to its £975 million framework to improve the homes and communities across Yorkshire and the Humber.
EN, a consortium of social housing providers in Yorkshire and the Humber, has divided the framework into 3 sub regions - West, East and South - to ensure a mix of larger national companies and local small to medium sized businesses.
Social Landlords and any public body in the area can access the framework, which will include kitchen and bathroom repairs, electrical rewiring and heating upgrades, as well as external improvements including the installation of solar photovoltaic panels.
The four year framework is designed to process efficiency savings of 10% and any surplus revenue accrued will be collected in the 4 Good Fund. The fund can be accessed using the framework to fund projects which will have social and economic benefits for the local community.
Noel Adams, Regional Director at Lovell said: "This is a key framework in the region and we are thrilled to be one of the selected contractors working on such an important improvement programme for Yorkshire and the Humber.
"Not only will the improvement works have a considerable impact on local housing, here will also be significant benefits for the local community with investment in training and apprenticeship programmes for local people."
Lee Parkinson, director of Efficiency North says: "This scheme will have a significant effect on local communities and it was evident that we needed the best partners on board to ensure the programme was a success.
"The contractors have undergone a rigorous selection procedure and our tenants have been involved throughout the procurement process. Lovell demonstrated a strong track record of delivering a high quality service and we look forward to working with them."
