E.ON Helps Community Group Get Energy Fit
Chell Heath Residents Association in Stoke on Trent has been awarded a grant of nearly £5,000 from E.ON's Sustainable Energy Fund as part of its work with charity 'Beat the Cold' to help residents cut their energy bills this winter.
The funding from E.ON will pay for a series of community events where local residents can access expert home energy advice to learn how to use energy more wisely in their homes and reduce their energy bills. Local residents are invited to attend the first of these events tomorrow, Tuesday 10th January, at The Residents Centre, 461 Chell Heath Road, ST6 6HJ between 9.30am and 1pm. The grant will also help to equip the kitchen at the Residents' Centre with A-rated appliances that reduce both carbon emissions and running costs.
Jim Gibson, Chairperson of Chell Heath Residents Association, said: "There are lots of families in Chell Heath who are struggling to heat their homes this winter. These events will offer practical help and advice that they can trust as well as encouraging people to think about the importance of energy efficiency to help safeguard their future. We're really grateful to E.ON for their help and support."
