Breedon Aggregates Acquires Nottingham Readymix

Breedon Aggregates Limited, one of the UK's largest independent aggregates business, is entering the Nottingham ready-mixed concrete market with the acquisition today of Nottingham Readymix.

The acquisition fills an important gap in Breedon Aggregates’ coverage of the East Midlands, located midway between its plants at Cloud Hill to the south-west and Grantham to the east.

Nottingham is a key centre of economic activity in the region, with a number of major infrastructure and commercial projects currently underway or in the pipeline, including the £600 million tram project due to start in 2012.
