Final Home Completed In GCH Decent Homes Programme
Gloucester City Homes has celebrated the completion of the final home in its Decent Homes programme.
Lovell has just completed work on the home, which belongs to Mr Robert Butler of 7a Bathurst Road, Tredworth. The home has had a new kitchen, bathroom and central heating system. The property has also been rewired.
Gloucester City Homes was awarded funding to carry out its Decent Homes improvement programme in 2007. A total of £40.1million has now been invested in the properties GCH manages on behalf of the Council, bringing 100% of its homes in line with the Decent Homes Standard. This includes 3,016 new kitchens, 2,470 new bathrooms, 1,997central heating systems, 868 medical adaptation, 3,448 homes rewired and new doors and windows installed in 1689 homes resulting in a complete modernisation of the housing stock. Over 13,000 property improvements have been completed.
This has all been achieved with tenant satisfaction averaging 98% which is a fantastic customer endorsement of this programme.
