Kier Living Scoops Nine Projects
Kier Living's first completion, Hackness Farm Kier Living, Kier's affordable housing, care and student accommodation specialists, signed contracts for nine projects across the south-west in March with a combined value of more than £17m.
The schemes include: Consols Phase 2, 27 homes in St Ives for Coastline Housing; four sites in Paignton in partnership with Sanctuary Group, which will see the demolition of 98 precast reinforced concrete units and the construction of 82 new sustainable (built to Code Level 3) homes; 14 houses in Lapford near Crediton for South Western Housing Society; plus further developments with Sanctuary Group in Torquay, Bude and Falmouth.
Other projects currently under construction by Kier Living in Devon and Cornwall are Cedar Woods in St Austell for Devon and Cornwall Housing - a development of 19 one, two and three-bedroom affordable homes; and a 233-bed student accommodation scheme in Penryn for Bath Row developments.
Kier Living's John Titcombe commented: "In our first year the Kier Living affordable, care and student housing business has grown to over £30m annual turnover, directly employing more than 30 local people and over 100 in our supply chain. We are very pleased with these new instructions, which are a tribute to some very hard work by our teams across Devon and Cornwall."
