EDF Energy is launching an enhanced offer of £200 cash and free insulation for certain householders in suitable properties, through the Carbon Emissions Reduction Target (CERT) scheme.
The £200 offer is targeted at people who are most in need of extra support, and is available to anyone in receipt of Child Tax Credit where their annual household income is less than £16,190 or to anyone claiming Pension Credit if they take both cavity wall and loft insulation through EDF Energy. Householders with these qualifying benefits had been previously offered a payment of up to £100.
£100 is paid following the installation of either cavity wall or loft insulation, in the form of a pre-paid Visa card. For customers having both cavity wall and loft insulation installed £200 would be paid.
In addition, EDF Energy will now pay up to £300 towards any necessary scaffolding required as part of the installation for eligible householders.
This offer is currently open to anyone who fits these criteria whether they are a customer of EDF Energy or not. However customers are urged to respond quickly as this is a limited offer which may be withdrawn at any time.
Martin Lawrence, Managing Director of Customer Supply at EDF Energy, said: "Our delivery of free insulation provides significant and permanent benefits to vulnerable consumers struggling to pay their fuel bills.
"This announcement that we will be providing eligible householders with free insulation and up to £200 cash-back means that not only will they benefit from lower fuel bills, but also a significant cash injection during this difficult economic time. We would urge people to find out if they can take up this great offer which is another step we have taken to demonstrate our commitment to be the Feel Better Energy Company."
