Second Phase Of Camp Hill Regeneration Project Given Green Light
The second phase of a new housing project in Camp Hill, Nuneaton, has been given the go ahead and with construction starting imminently, those involved in the scheme donned hard hats and took spades to the ground to mark the milestone.
Named Bluebell, the development is a partnership between Barratt Homes, Pride in Camp Hill (PinCH), Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Warwickshire County Council and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
The second phase at multi award-winning Bluebell will consist of 141 homes with a mix of apartments and houses and a range of two-, three- and four- bedrooms. The first phase is now nearly built and more than 70 per cent of the homes are sold.
Andrew Dauncey, Project Director for Barratt Mercia commented: "We are very pleased to announce that planning permission for phase two at Bluebell has been granted and we are delighted with the progress and change Bluebell has made to the area of Camp Hill so far.
"Construction will start at the end of the summer and we will be providing the area with a great mix of properties. There will be a range of 141 new homes in total including apartments as well as family homes.
"Many couples and families have already made Bluebell their home and there is still a terrific range of properties available from the first phase. The availability ranges from one-bedroom houses with prices starting from £70,000 to four-bedroom homes priced at £185,000. We also have a range of schemes available to assist our purchasers."
Peter Young, Chairman for PinCH said: "Pride in Camp Hill is delighted to see the regeneration initiative moving forward to the next phase, even during these difficult economic times. The partners’ commitment to moving the programme forward is making positive changes to the lives of those living in the area. The changes in Camp Hill are exciting, and we are looking forward to this next stage beginning."
