Loughborough-based contractor and developer, William Davis Ltd has recorded a double victory in the East Midlands Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Awards, held recently.

The Harborough Innovation and Business Centre, situated at the entrance to the flagship Airfield Business Park in Market Harborough, won 'Best Large Commercial Development' whilst Bellamy Road, a partnership project to build the first new council houses in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire for over 30 years, was awarded 'Best Large Housing Development'.


The LABC awards recognise and celebrate the best quality construction in the region, encompassing strong design and efficient teamwork.

Guy Higgins, managing director, William Davis commented: "Both these schemes had a significant impact on the local community and this was a main priority for all involved. At Airfield, the Harborough Innovation Centre has provided high quality office space for local businesses and in Mansfield, Bellamy Road has revitalised the area with the construction of 43 new family homes.

"Being a double award winner is extremely rewarding and we are thankful to both project teams. We look forward to witnessing the progress of both projects in the national finals."

As regional award winners, both Harborough Innovation Centre and Bellamy Road will go through the national LABC finals, to be held in November 2012.
