Chauncey's Giant Oak Complete Prestigious Project
Here is a recent project photo of Chauncey's Giant Oak. These huge planks of French oak are the longest and widest oak boards available and are 380mm wide and up to 5m in length. Giant Oak boards are also 25mm thick to allow more strength to support the huge width and length of the boards.
Just how impressive these very wide boards look can be seen in the rest of the project photos of this fantastic hotel/brasserie in Stratford-upon-Avon.
How Long does Chauncey's TectonicTM Flooring Last?
Well - we thought this would be interesting and so we went back to one of our first ever customers for Chauncey's Original Tectonic Engineered Oak Flooring.
We tried to re-create the photo of these sweet girls 8 years on - and they are still gorgeous!
The floor has been through a major flood due to a burst pipe in the ceiling which resulted in the floor sitting under several inches of water overnight. The room was ruined and everything else in the room had to be replaced - however, the Chauncey's Original Tectonic floor just needed to be sanded and refinished and it looked as good as new!! Not that we are recommending this treatment for our floors...
The floor has also been through various teenager parties, a 40th birthday party, Christmas parties which included country dancing, and normal everyday life with a family of four children and two dogs!
The floor is still looking really good and the family still love their Chauncey's Tectonic Flooring.
