Crofton Wins Work In Middle East From Internet

Crofton, the consulting engineer, has won contracts totalling £140,000 in Saudi Arabia because a Middle Eastern client found them online!

The engineer has just started work on two projects in Jeddah.
It is responsible for the M&E and structural design of a residential apartment block in downtown Jeddah, and the structural design and M&E elements of a luxury beach house located on the Red Sea.

Mark Taylor, structural director at Crofton in charge of the project, said: "These are our first projects in the Middle East and we won them because our client found us online when searching for a British engineer. They got in touch and asked us for a proposal.

"It's a great example of how small the internet has made the world, and that British engineers are respected internationally. We’re all very excited about working on the project," Taylor continued.

Construction of both projects is set to be completed by the Summer of 2013. Crofton has offices in London, Tonbridge in Kent and Newhaven in East Sussex.
