ITS, a leading supplier of power tools and hand tools to the building and joinery trade, are retailing the brand new Dewalt 4.0Ah Lithium-ion system.
Power and hand tool supplier ITS endeavour to operate at the forefront of their industry, offering customers new products and technology where possible. As part of this commitment, ITS have become one of the first UK suppliers to stock the new, upgraded Dewalt batteries.
The Dewalt 4.0Ah Lithium-ion system offers 33% more runtime than its predecessor. They have managed to make the cell walls of the batteries slightly thinner which takes weight out of the batteries enabling them to increase the amount of active materials in the cell equating to a 4.0Ah runtime and a battery of the same weight.
A further change is the new status indicator, which allows the user to see how much charge is left in the batteries to reduce the likelihood of being caught without power.
Jay Watcham, a spokesperson for ITS, commented: "Upgrading your current batteries to 4.0Ah is simple and easy, as the original 3.0Ah range of XR tools also work with the new 4.0Ah batteries; making for a seamless upgrade. The charger is also exactly the same model as the original, so you wouldn't even need to purchase a new charger.
“We see this development as a massive step forward in the right direction; providing increased running time and innovative battery technology for the future. Every tradesperson wants as much productivity as they can get from their tools and this is what the Dewalt 4.0Ah Lithium-ion system offers."
