Terraco Opens Innovative Training Centre In Uckfield
Terraco has opened a dedicated training centre for its innovative Exterior Insulation Finishing System (EIFS) at its UK headquarters in Uckfield.
The specially designed centre includes training bays and classroom facilities, with a capacity for up to ten people at a time.
Terraco, which was founded in Sweden in 1980, is successfully being marketed by Uckfield-based Addagrip. Terraco EIFS is an energy efficient thermal wrapping, which is applied to the exterior surfaces of a building. It is then finished with a long-life, decorative and protective coating system.
The external wall insulation system has been developed, tried and tested and is proven to substantially reduce heating or cooling costs, as well as allow for the use of lower specification heating or cooling systems.
"We are very excited about our new training centre and have had excellent feedback from the first people who have come along to learn about EIFS," said Phill Ferreira, Business Development Manager at Terraco. "The launch of Terraco EIFS in the UK comes at a perfect time, as the Government is set to roll out its Green Deal initiative and we are working closely with those involved with Green Deal."
The innovative Green Deal (part of the Energy Act 2011) is intended to reduce carbon emissions cost effectively by revolutionising the energy efficiency of British properties.
"Terraco EIFS has already proven its credentials in projects around the world and we are delighted to be sharing our technology and experience with the UK market," said Phill, who adds that Terraco is currently looking for a community project near to its head office in Uckfield which would benefit from EIFS.
He explains: "We'd like to show people how efficient EIFS is and are looking to work alongside a community project locally where the building would benefit from being more energy efficient. We’d love to hear from any likely candidates."
