Enact Energy Secures Contract With RLA
Pioneer Green Deal Provider Enact Energy has secured a contract with the Residential Landlords Association (RLA) to deliver Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation (ECO) services under an exclusive white label partnership.
The new service will target Britain's 1.4 million private landlords with a goal of upgrading 10,000 properties and could be a deal worth up to £100m over the next 5 years. Cornwall based Enact is one of the UK’s most experienced firms of home energy efficiency experts, since 1996 it has worked in partnership with over 100 Local Authorities and currently manages the home efficiency services for retail giants Tesco and Marks and Spencer.
Minister of State for Climate Change, Greg Barker commented: "The Green Deal is the Coalition’s radical new initiative to transform the energy efficiency market. I am delighted to see the Residential Landlords Association take this approach in launching a service to help landlords take advantage of Green Deal and ECO. The private rented sector has some of the least energy efficient housing in the UK and this new service from the RLA will not only help to tackle that but will also help tenants to live in warmer, cosier homes."
