TrioPlus, expert floor protection retailer, have recently teamed up with Sutters Partners Architects, a London-based design team committed to delivering stunning housing projects with an emphasis on sustainable living. A huge batch of Trio Plus’ Ram Board hard floor protection was recently delivered to one of the firm’s projects in Putney, which aims to combine eco-friendly homes with stunning architecture and design.
Sutters Partnership Architects not only specialise in building fantastically ‘green’ new homes, they also carry out large-scale renovations, and have taken on a number of heritage and conservation projects too. All of these huge ventures require a lot of manual work from builders, electricians, plumbers and other trades, and it’s vital to keep floors pristine while this work is carried out. Trio Plus’ range of temporary hard floor and carpet protection products provides a failsafe barrier between floors and the work being carried out above. In addition to this, all of the products boast great eco-friendly credentials, and are in line with the sustainable and environmentally-conscious buildings that Sutters Partners Architects are in the process of creating.
The Ram Board floor protection currently in use at the project in Putney was designed specifically for contractors, and is able to cover and protect all kinds of hard floors quickly and efficiently. Unlike the majority of hard floor protection products on the market, Ram Board is completely vapour-permeable, and its built-in breathable layer means it can be used as soon as it is laid. Many other products using adhesive must be left to dry for a certain amount of time before work continues, but the unique construction of the number one floor protection product in America means that much time is saved as a result of no waiting around. The product itself is also made up entirely of recycled materials, meaning the carbon footprint in its creation is absolutely minimised; built from cardboard, paper, ply-fibres and reinforcers, Ram Board has won awards for its environmentally-conscious qualities.
As well as being eco-friendly and time-efficient, Ram Board is also highly durable and suitable for a huge variety of purposes. It can withstand the weight of a forklift truck, and has protected areas such as Hollywood film sets, ancient listed buildings, antique floors, building sites and more. Not only can it protect floors from heavy footfalls and equipment, it also has a moisture-resistant anti-spill top layer, which protects from all liquids effectively, as well as harmful substances such as sawdust, plaster and dirt, all of which are common in areas where building work is taking place.
