Terraco To Exhibit At Ecobuild

Construction News Image
Terraco, a leader in the formulation, design and production of environmentally friendly finishing materials, is exhibiting at Ecobuild – the world's biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment. The exhibition is taking place at ExCeL in London from Tuesday 5 March to Thursday 7 March 2013.

Terraco, which entered the UK market in 2011 through the acquisition of Addagrip Surface Treatments, is taking the Ecobuild market by storm with its innovative EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finishing System).

Terraco EIFS, also known as External Wall Insulation (EWI), is an energy efficient thermal wrapping, which is applied to the exterior surfaces of a building and then finished with Terracoat a long-life, decorative and protective coating system. This not only drastically improves its insulation properties but also updates the overall look of the building, while creating a comfortable living space all year round.

"We are excited to be attending Ecobuild and being part of such a key event in the industry," said Phill Ferreira, Business Development Manager at Terraco. "EWI is currently being used in both hot and cold climates and is proven to substantially reduce heating or cooling costs. The system has already shown its credentials in projects around the world and we are delighted to be sharing our technology and experience with visitors to Ecobuild."

The launch of Terraco EIFS in the UK couldn't have come at a better time, as the Government is busy rolling out Green Deal and Terraco is working closely with those involved with this initiative. As part of its involvement, Terraco is sponsoring a series of interactive conferences about Green Deal. The seminars, which are taking place around the country, are being organised by Pilot Navigation and TSP Media.

"EWI is suitable for all types of solid wall buildings," said Phill. "We know that houses come in all shapes and forms and Terraco EIFS offers a whole range of architectural, design and decorative texture finishes to suit your particular building, whatever its age or style."

Although Terraco has only been in the UK for a short while, External Wall Insulation is already widely used in many of the locations in which the company is established including some of the coldest countries of the world namely Russia, China, South Korea and Turkey.

Terraco is currently sharing its knowledge of how EWI is applied at its newly-established training centre, which it has opened at its headquarters in Uckfield, East Sussex. The specially designed centre includes training bays and classroom facilities, with a capacity for up to ten people at a time.

"We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to our stand at Ecobuild," said Phil. "Terraco EIFS is the most effective insulation system around for residential, commercial or public buildings. It's the perfect insulation system for new build, renovation or retrofit. And we are also proud that, in line with other Terraco products, it offers an environmentally-friendly solution."
