Playrite Surfaces Go Wild With Yorkshire Wildlife Park
Award winning visitor attraction Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster South.
Yorkshire, has gone from strength to strength since its opening in April 2009.
It is one of the fastest growing and innovative attractions of its kind, not least with its new addition this February 2013 of a brand new 'Monkey Play Barn and Cafe'.
The Monkey Play Barn is a fantastic new weather-proof haven for parents and their children, the giant play barn will allow little ones to let off steam in an inspiring and safe environment. Inspired by the climbing ability of real monkeys, the play area includes wooden climbing frames and towers, slides and swings, completed with Playrite surfaces underfoot. The barn has been transformed from the usual play gym you might find, into one that is unique in its mirroring of nature using Playrite's Nearlygrass and Matchwinner the barn has been given an authentic outdoor feel.
Nearlygrass is a strong resilient surface, able to handle the most rigorous of children. Not only does it give the appearance of grass but it has a lovely feel underfoot and offers comfort as well as longevity of use. Our Matchwinner surface is usually more associated with sports facilities but on this occasion it again offers the durability and resilience required.
YWP Director Cheryl Williams said: "The Play area in the new Monkey Play House was a bespoke build for us – so that children could climb, jump and swing just like the monkeys that they will be looking at through the giant windows. It is really an outside play area that has been built indoors to give us an all weather facility so the grass was the finishing touch really, to make an indoor space look like the outdoors! The grass is hardwearing but looks much more attractive than carpet or matting."
