Sika Sarnafil Re-Launches Green Roofing Offering

Sika Sarnafil has re-launched its green roofing offering with a fully-branded system backed by a comprehensive guarantee.

Marrying its market-leading single ply membrane with a full range of green roof options, the Sarnavert system is already a popular choice among those searching for sustainable solutions.

But the offering is now fully branded, meaning all components of a green roof are protected by Sika Sarnafil's market-leading guarantee (providing the appropriate maintenance programme is in place).

Sika Sarnafil national sales manager Rod Benson says this means that those specifying green roofs can be confident in the performance and longevity of all elements of a system, thanks to the new product and guarantee package.

"We've found that many green roofs on the market are inadequately protected," he explained. "A common issue is that, while the waterproof base might be guaranteed by a manufacturer, end-customers usually have to shoulder the costs if the planting dies. That's why we're proud to have redressed this industry-wide problem by offering customers a complete product package that's backed by our leading guarantee."

Rod says that Sika Sarnafil has also worked closely with a number of specialist green roof installers to further strengthen the Sarnavert offering. "We now have registered green roof contractors who are experts in installing and maintaining the green element of the system, providing extra reassurance for our customers."

By specifying a Sarnvert system, customers will also, of course, benefit from the proven performance and flexibility of Sika Sarnafil’s single ply membrane, which has an independently assessed BBA-certified life expectancy that states a life 'in excess of 40 years'. The brand's green roof membranes are approved by 'FLL' green roof guidelines standards, too. What's more, projects receive full technical support from the Sika Sarnafil team, including an intermediate and final inspection to ensure the high quality workmanship of the registered contractors before the guarantee is issued.
