Capita Symonds To Manage Backup Stadium

Capita Symonds has been appointed by Bristol Sport Limited to provide project management, cost management and CDMC services on the proposed £40m redevelopment of Bristol City FC's stadium at Ashton Gate.

The proposals are being developed in case Bristol Sport Limited is not able to proceed with its plans to build a brand new £60m stadium at nearby Ashton Vale.

If it does go ahead, the three year redevelopment project, which is expected to be completed for the 2016/17 season, will comprise new stands and pitch widening. The Wedlock and Williams stands would be demolished and new stands built in their place, while the Dolman and Atyeo stands will be renovated.

The plans will be presented to the local council for approval in the summer.
