Kier Signs Contracts With Circle Housing Group
Kier Services has signed two contracts with Circle Housing Group to deliver its planned repairs and maintenance services across the Central and Eastern Regions.
The contracts are worth in excess of £200 million over a period of five years, with the potential to be extended for a further five.
Kier will be delivering all of the planned and cyclical maintenance work for six registered providers (RPs) in the two regions. The RPs are Mercian, Circle and Old Ford housing associations in the Central region, and Wherry, Roddons and South Anglia in the Eastern region.
The new contracts have been signed as part of Circle's plan to transform the way that repairs are carried out across all of its homes. Under the new arrangement, repairs and maintenance work is now split into six lots: this means single contractors are now responsible for delivering planned or responsive repairs work in the Central, Southern or Eastern regions. The largest procurement of its kind, the new contracts aim to create a better service for Circle’s customers and save an estimated £100m over the course of 10 years.
Andy Doylend, executive director of operations at Circle, said: "We are delighted to have Kier delivering repairs and maintenance in these two regions. I am really looking forward to working with their team to ensure our residents receive the best possible service, in line with our aim to be the number one in the sector for customer loyalty."
