Basement Conversion London - Huge Excavation Projects in Fulham
BasementLiving.co.uk have just completed two large-scale projects within weeks of each other in the Fulham area of London.
Both properties are of a similar age and size and both required extensive excavation and basement conversion work.
Fulham, an attractive area located on the north bank of the River Thames, has many desirable homes and other buildings. Lying to the southwest and within easy reach of Kensington and Chelsea, the area continues to grow in popularity. Adding to the area's appeal is the fact that it is one of London's green areas and includes, amongst several others, the famous Bishop's Park.
The two properties, located on Finlay Street and Cloncurry Street, required an extensive excavation process as the basements were of a tiny, practically unusable size. Full excavations were carried out to create extremely roomy basement areas that extend under the entire house and both the front and back gardens. The largest of these excavations was at the property on Cloncurry Street; a full 1200 square feet of soil was removed.
Once the excavation processes were complete, full basement tanking systems were installed, including waterproofing membrane and sump-pump drainage. The work was carried out by highly-trained professionals using products of superior quality and the completed basement waterproofing system is thus guaranteed to provide many years of service.
Due to its convenient location, green spaces and attractive properties, Fulham is an extremely desirable area with house prices to match. Creating extra room with a basement conversion in these types of properties with a adds further value whilst offering dramatically increased living space in the most cost-effective way. Basement Living Group exist to facilitate this process with unrivalled professionalism and continue to remain the first choice for a multitude of contractors and homeowners.
