Network Housing Group is due to start work on a new eco-home development in Wembley Park.
The project will also include a new woodland.
The group is to build 111 new affordable homes on a disused car park site in the area. The properties will include one, two and three-bedroom apartments as well as four-bedroom houses and will consist of shared ownership, affordable rent and homes available for sale in the private market.
All properties will be built to the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.
Work is expected to begin on the Brook Avenue development in Wembley Park this summer.
Network Housing Group’s Business Development Director, Jeremy Stibbe, said: "Brent has an overwhelming need for new affordable homes so I’m delighted that we have been given the go ahead to push forward with this development on Brook Avenue.
"The homes are well-designed and sustainable and will make a very positive contribution to the regeneration of the Wembley Park area."
The development will be designed to incorporate large spaces between buildings and trees along the embankment on Brook Avenue will be thinned out to create more light.
All apartments, with the exception of those on the ground floor, will have balconies overlooking Brook Avenue and the regenerated woodland, while 34 of the new homes will be delivered thanks to support from the Mayor of London. These homes will offer people on low to middle incomes the chance to purchase an affordable property.
The Network Housing Group recently received £8.25m in support from the Mayor of London through its new commercial arm, Network Living.
This will deliver 240 affordable homes for sale in six schemes across the city for working Londoners locked out of the housing market.
