Miller Named Best Developer At 2013 Partnerships Awards
Miller Construction has been named Best Developer at the international 2013 Partnerships Awards.
The Partnerships Awards are the leading industry awards for the Partnering/PPP sector and reward innovation, inspiration and collaboration. The awards recognise high calibre projects and companies that demonstrate ingenuity taking place across the world, at both local and central government levels, as the private and public sectors deliver outstanding schemes in challenging market environments.
Judges were impressed by the range and depth of UK projects that Miller Construction has been involved in despite the difficult the slower market in 2012.
Miller Construction has a long history in PPP projects, having been involved in the UK's first PFI project - the Skye Bridge - back in 1992, and in 2012 the experienced one of its best ever years.
Alongside three full PPP financial closes, Miller Construction was involved in six design and build closes on Building Schools for the Future (BSF) and Hub deals, three secondary market sales and one Hub project completion. In addition it was also appointed preferred bidder on four projects, including Avon & Somerset Police PFI.
In addition to the Best Developer Award, Miller Construction was also shortlisted in the Best Pathfinder category for Aberdeen Community Healthcare Village. In making the award the judges stated that Miller Construction’s current success and long-standing history confirms its position as a key player in this market.
