Sir Robert McAlpine are the main contractor of the £80m contract to redevelop the Hereford cattle market into a leisure and shopping centre. This project will bring a three-storey Debenhams department store, a Waitrose store, a six screen ODEON multiplex cinema and 20 further shops and seven restaurants. The Old Market will connect with the historic retail city centre of Hereford.
Severfield-Watson Structures Ltd, one of the UK's biggest steel contractors, are erecting the steel frame. The design by the architect included a requirement for a precast concrete floor with a high quality soffit finish to be installed by Severfield-Watson. The Pekso Precast's Lattice Plate Floor units were chosen for the smooth soffit finish that is suitable for direct decoration. The high quality of the Pekso Precast floor secured the order with Severfield-Watson to work with our Lattice Plate Floor system.
Over more than 3,000m² Lattice Plate Floor units will be installed by Severfield-Watson. Sir Robert McAlpine are working towards a completion date of the building frame by the end of August 2013.
