Mace has announced the appointment of Jason Butterworth as Director of Design & Transportation for the consultancy business and Adam McAllister as Head of Rail for Construction.
Both these appointments demonstrate Mace's commitment to strengthening its capabilities in the transportation market and our integrated design team offering in order to maximise opportunities in the sector.
Having previously worked for WSP, McNicholas, NG Bailey and Carillion, Jason Butterworth has been appointed Director of Design & Transportation. Jason played a pivotal role in the growth of WSP's rail business including high profile projects such as Crossrail Bond Street Station, West Coast Main Line Electrification and Thameslink's London Bridge Station.
Adam McAllister will take the construction lead role for the rail business working closely with Nigel Cole. Adam joins Mace from Kier, having previously worked for Birse Rail and Alfred McAlpine. Although during the past 12 years Adam has focused on delivering multi-discipline rail infrastructure projects, his knowledge is founded in heavy civil engineering, including roads, bridges, earthworks and airport schemes.
Throughout his career, Adam has gained invaluable experience working on projects such as the King's Cross Station Roof Redevelopment, Crossrail Advanced Works, West Coast Mainline Upgrade Projects and the recent redevelopment of Epsom Station.
Jason Millett, COO for Major Programmes and Infrastructure, commented: "We are delighted to welcome Jason and Adam to Mace's infrastructure team. By adding their wealth of sector knowledge to our team we will be able to support more clients in delivering their strategic plans and projects."
