Mitie To Deliver Painting Services To L&Q Housing Trust

Mitie has been awarded a contract to deliver painting services to London & Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q), one of the largest affordable housing providers in the UK.

The new six year contract has a total value of £7.5m, with a possible six year extension valued at a further £7.5m.

The contract started in August 2013 and will see Mitie's painting business deliver internal and external painting to L&Q's housing stock throughout South East England.

The contract will see Mitie undertake external painting and minor fabrication repairs to general and supported housing, and internal decorations to communal areas for over 5,000 homes each year.

Mitie was awarded the contract on the basis that it could provide value for money whilst delivering a high quality, consistent service for residents, focused on continuous improvement of resident satisfaction.

Matthew Drake, Head of Programme Management for L&Q, said: "We have worked in partnership with our residents to make sure we appoint the most suitable supplier to carry out our cyclical painting programme.

"Our number one goal is resident satisfaction and we are confident that MITIE will deliver high quality products for our residents over the next six years and provide value for money."
