Nicholls & Clarke Acquire Colchester Tiles

Nicholls & Clarke has acquired the business, Colchester Tile Supplies.

The business has been trading for 25 years as a distributor and retailer from their premises based in Colchester, Essex. Colchester Tiles have a fleet of 8 commercial lorries distributing throughout Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and London. Colchester Tiles will now benefit from increasing its stock levels significantly with an investment into a new tile and bathroom showroom. As well as the continuation of all existing tile ranges, customers of Colchester Tiles will benefit from an extended portfolio of tile collections catered to all project types, with access to an additional £10 million worth of stock.

Following the acquisition, the synergies between the two businesses will enable Nicholls & Clarke to combine and strengthen their distribution network for customers, offering increased stock levels and an improved nationwide service from a fleet of over 110 commercial vehicles. The new move will increase the number of N&C Tile and Bathroom showrooms to 16 nationwide. The investment by the Nicholls & Clarke Group is the third acquisition of a tile business within the last three years.
