People have the chance to find out more about plans for the proposed Gloucestershire College Forest of Dean campus, new £8.6m 'spine road' and other residential, leisure and commercial development in the Cinderford Northern Quarter regeneration.
A two-day exhibition and consultation will run at the Belle Vue Centre in Cinderford town centre from Friday 29 to Saturday 30 November. The exhibition gives the public an opportunity to see and comment on details of the planning application for these key parts of the Northern Quarter.
The regeneration will unlock more than £100m in investment to redevelop the site and bring jobs and opportunities to the district.
There will be drawings, plans and information to show how the new college, road and surrounding development will open up and form the hub of the regenerated area. Visitors will also be able to meet the project team and other partners to ask questions about exactly what's planned.
Details of the array of special measures to protect local wildlife and bio-diversity will also be on show. After a preview for key project partners and local media on Thursday 28 November, the public exhibition will be open:
• 10am-8pm on Friday 29 November
• 10am-1pm on Saturday 30 November.
Households and businesses in and around Cinderford and the Northern Quarter have received individual invitations to the event and everyone interested in the education, commercial and housing development planned for the area is welcome and encouraged to drop in. The exhibition shows how the proposals will bring the Area Action Plan for this part of Cinderford to life.
Visitors will be able to complete a short questionnaire to capture their views on the proposals and register their interest in further consultation once the planning application from the Homes and Communities Agency and Gloucestershire College goes in to Forest of Dean District Council next year.
