Interserve Wins FM Secure Facilities Award

Interserve has won the 2013 Premises and Facilities Management (PFM) Partners in FM Secure Facilities award for its partnership with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation's (DIO) PFI Team at MoD Corsham; and was awarded Finalist status for its partnership with Defra in the Partners in Corporate FM – Public Sector.

DIO is the Ministry of Defence's (MoD) property and services provider. For 25 years, Interserve has worked with the MoD to provide a service delivery solution that supports modern communications for our Armed Forces. More than 36 different services are provided through the Corsham PFI Project, which went live in 2008, including building and grounds maintenance, medical and dental support, leisure and hospitality services, environmental and conservation services, logistics, tailoring, administration, reprographics and motor transport services. Interserve also manages the underground military town at Corsham, which provides an important link to our Cold War history.

The judges commented: "Both Interserve and the team at MoD Corsham are working closely together for the greater good and to constantly innovate and improve. There was a passion for this partnership that is a recipe for continued success into the future. The complexities of this relationship needed to be seen and understood to appreciate its scope and significance to the MoD. Meeting many of the Interserve and MoD personnel first-hand demonstrated how the partnership is so strongly knitted together."

Brian Talbot, Managing Director – Defence at Interserve congratulated the team and added: "Winning this award is a great exemplar of the quality of people that work with us day-in day-out, continually striving to achieve better for our business and our customers. We are exceptionally proud of the commitment and dedication of the Corsham team to support the MoD in providing modern communication services to our Armed Forces around the world."
