Laing O'Rourke Appoints New Accommodation Sector Leader

Laing O'Rourke has announced the appointment of Stephen Trusler as its new accommodation sector leader for the Europe Hub, reporting to Roger Robinson. He takes up his post in the New Year and will be responsible for developing and building the Group's sector strategy in the private residential homes, affordable housing and social housing markets.

With extensive expertise and a proven track record across new build housing supply and refurbishment of existing housing stock, Stephen will work with the Explore Investments, construction and Explore Manufacturing leadership teams to establish and coordinate our business development plans covering appropriate funding regimes, legal structures, construction delivery and post contract services.

Commenting on the announcement, Anna Stewart, Chief Executive said: "Steve has worked in the affordable housing sector for 30 years, and joins us from Wates where he was National Strategy Director for housing. He was instrumental in creating Wates Living Space, leading its business strategy and successful business growth.
