Unite Celebrates Topping Out At Camden Property
Developer Unite has celebrated the topping out of their new central London property, 'St Pancras Way', in a joint celebration with construction partner Balfour Beatty.
Camden Town is a popular location for students and the 571 bed property will provide a home right at the heart of a culturally rich and diverse area of London. Just 5 minutes’ walk from Kings Cross & St Pancras International, students will have easy access to excellent transport links around London and its many university campuses. The Zone 1 property, which is due for completion for the 2014/15 academic year, will also provide Travis Perkins with a new trading facility on the ground floor.
The topping out celebrates the completion of the structural construction phase of the development, which will offer a mix of shared flats and studio accommodation, over ten floors.
The topping out ceremony was performed by Councillor Robinson, Councillor St Pancras and Somers Town. He said: "The development of well-managed, purpose built student accommodation is really important in areas which are home to large student populations in order to ease the pressure on the private rented market. Students are often a catalyst for regeneration, bringing a positive impact to local communities through their spending power and the work they do in the community and I am looking forward to see the regeneration of the area continue."
