Anna Stewart Appointed Business Ambassador
Laing O'Rourke's Anna Stewart has been appointed by HM Government as a Business Ambassador, promoting British infrastructure and construction excellence in international markets.
Group Chief Executive of Britain's leading privately owned, internationally focused engineering enterprise, as a Business Ambassador, Anna will undertake at least two overseas engagements and four UK-based activities with the support of the UKTI Ministerial & Strategic Engagement Unit.
Commenting on her appointment, she said: "I'm honoured and delighted to be appointed as a Business Ambassador. It's important that we not only promote Britain as a great place to do business, but highlight the world class skills of our companies and their employees to global markets.
"Laing O'Rourke is recognised around the world for its ability to deliver innovative solutions to some of the most high profile, complex engineering and construction projects."
The Business Ambassador Network of key business and academic leaders act as powerful advocates of the UK abroad, promoting the UK's excellence, economy, business environment and the reputation as the international trade and inward investment partner of choice.
