Costain is relocating its Manchester Office to new, modern, larger premises close to Manchester Airport, reflecting the growth of the business and the need for more flexible and open working space.
Costain has signed a lease for a 38,500 sq. ft. self-contained office building at 1500 Aviator Way on the Manchester Business Park, located just 10 minutes walk from Manchester Airport and adjacent to the proposed Airport City Development. The office will also be served by the new Metrolink Airport line, which is scheduled to open in 2016. The Company plans to move to the new site in summer 2014.
"Over the coming months we will be commencing an extensive programme of fit-out works to provide a bright and modern working environment to support our business," said Lucy Fleming, Costain's Group Property Manager.
With an eye firmly on the future, the plans for the new premises draw on Costain's Engineering Tomorrow strategy, the Company's commitment to identifying, developing and implementing innovative solutions to meet national infrastructure needs.
The new site will provide office space spread across three floors and incorporate a variety of flexible meeting spaces, including an Innovation Centre, which will cater for large meetings and training sessions. The Company is also harnessing the latest audio-visual technology to enable people to develop more innovative ways of working.
