Clegg Construction Wins Place On EMPA's Minor Works Framework

Clegg Construction says it is thrilled to be the latest new contract partner for empa (the East Midlands Property Alliance).

The Nottingham-based company has won a share of empa's £140m minor works framework which covers the wider East Midlands. The contracts are split into sub-regions to enable a more locally focussed delivery team.

Clegg Construction's contract will cover work valued from £350,000 to £2m delivered in Northamptonshire, Rutland and Peterborough.

The minor works contracts run for a period of four years, starting immediately, and are the last in a series of empa contracts awarded in early 2014.

The aim of empa, which is managed by Scape, is to improve the procurement and delivery of construction projects and property maintenance for public sector clients saving time and money for them and their council taxpayers.

David Knifton, business development manager at Clegg Construction, said: "We are thrilled to have been awarded this contract and to join our fellow empa partners to deliver high quality work to public sector clients.

"We have an excellent track record having completed a whole range of public sector projects and we look forward to working with empa to utilise this experience and expertise."

The empa framework contracts cover work for clients on all types of public sector buildings including schools, colleges, universities, housing, NHS, care homes, leisure facilities, libraries and many more.

By using empa, clients benefit from a streamlined procurement process where lengthy and costly OJEU compliant tender exercises have already been completed on their behalf. This saves clients as much as 9% on their overall project costs.
