Bristan is the first UK shower and tap brand to be awarded with a UKAS accreditation to conduct Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) testing.
The ISO/IEC17025 accreditation will allow the UK's largest showers and taps brand to perform TMV 2 & 3 product compliance testing across all of its products for both domestic and commercial applications.
The UKAS accreditation is a huge achievement for Bristan and means that it is able to undertake all of its own TMV assessments. Bristan has always prided itself on its hot water safety standards and attaining this is further proof of the company's continued success in this area.
This achievement further demonstrates Bristan's commitment to developing high quality products that comply with the highest safety standards. This accreditation is recognised throughout Europe, and for Bristan to be the first tap and shower company in the market to achieve this is an accomplishment. To maintain the accreditation Bristan will be audited yearly by UKAS to ensure testing standards remain at the required level.
Simon Mepsted, total quality manager, Bristan Group, said: "Bristan remains committed to providing its customers with high quality products that not only meet stringent safety standards but also offer the latest technology and design innovations.
"The UKAS accreditation is further proof of this dedication and of how Bristan is driving the business forward and strengthening its reputation within the industry as a brand developing high quality taps and showers."
