Graham Appoints Regional Director
As part of their continued growth in the north of England, Graham Construction has announced the appointment of Gary Hughes as regional director.
Gary has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry and will play a key part in the further expansion plans of contractor Graham into a number of target sectors across the North of England.
Graham is one of the UK's leading building, civil engineering and asset management companies, operating nationwide with an annual turnover of £425m and a forward order book of £730m across its construction, civil engineering and asset management businesses.
Gary has worked for both national and international construction firms throughout his career, leading on projects worth up to £100m in the private and public sector.
Gary, who will be based in the Graham Manchester office in Salford Quays, said: "I believe in the Graham vision of a people-driven, quality orientated business with sustainable long-term goals. Throughout my recent career I have been impressed by feedback from construction professionals, who recognise Graham as an innovative, ambitious and ethical company.
"Within my role, I will ensure Graham achieves sustainable and organic growth, focusing on the development of apprenticeships and the building of long-term relationships with local supply chains across the North of England, while at the same time delivering best in class service for our clients and customers.
"We continue to the raise the profile of Graham as the contractor of choice in the region and to deliver a first class service. To achieve this we work collaboratively with our clients and project partners, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget, while adhering to unbeatable health and safety standards."
Gary was previously a representative on the Regional National Contractors Safety Group and a Partner Contractor Director on the North West Construction Hub Framework, where he was responsible for nurturing, developing and maintaining a partnering ethos with all stakeholders. He is currently an advisor on the Construction Management Industry Advisory Panel at a leading North West university.
