Powrmatic Announce SHEV Acquisition

Powrmatic Ltd has announced that it has acquired the assets of SHEV Co Ltd.

SHEV supplies smoke and heat exhaust ventilation products, with Powrmatic saying that the acquisition "reinforces" its position "as a UK leader in the manufacture of smoke and natural ventilation products."

"The SHEV product range is the perfect complement to our own portfolio of ventilation products, giving us a comprehensive offering to meet all project requirements at all price points. It also enables us to accelerate our product development programme to ensure we remain at the leading edge of the sector," Stuart Parris, Ventilation Product Manager at Powrmatic Ltd, said.

The SHEV product range, all certified to EN12101 Part 2, comprises Stirling casement ventilators and Krystalite smoke and natural ventilators. Manufacturing, assembly and certification processes previously carried out at SHEV’s premises will now transfer to Powrmatic’s facility in Ilminster, Somerset.

The Stirling products will be offered alongside Powrmatic’s UltraSky and SkyVent models to offer specifiers a wider choice in selecting the best solution for the application. Similarly, the Krystalite range will enable Powrmatic to provide a wider selection of single, double and triple glazed louvre ventilators for both smoke and natural ventilation.
