Morgan Sindall have held a meet the buyer event in Essex, strengthening its supply chain and extending its network of local contractors.
Held last week at the Essex County Cricket Ground, and was open to any interested tradespeople.
The company is currently working on a number of major developments in Essex, and wanted to boost the local employment opportunities and involvement by giving local contractors the chance to learn more about Morgan Sindall and how the company operates.
Contractors had the chance to get involved, develop new relationships and strengthen existing ones with relevant Morgan Sindall representatives during the event. Local companies also had the chance to find out more about the work which will be available with Morgan Sindall on upcoming projects in the Essex area.
Rachel Johns, framework manager at Morgan Sindall, said: "We already work closely with subcontractors in the region and boosting local employment and ensuring that we’re connecting and engaging with local companies is a real priority for the business. We’re committed to further developing local relationships and ensuring that our projects have a positive economic impact on the communities where they are based.
"Our business is built on long-term relationships with our supply chain partners and we’re always very keen to work with local communities and involve local trades. This one-stop-shop event provided the perfect opportunity for us to meet Essex’s tradespeople and give them a platform to put themselves forward for opportunities which may arise during the developments."
