Cruise holidays have long been established as a luxury; many cruise ships are ornately decorated and often have a vast amount of activities and facilities onboard. Many of the more exclusive cruise ships have swimming pools on the decks of the ship and around many of these they feature some form of safety surfacing.
DCM Surfaces are the leading supplier of safety surfaces and regularly install a number of our surfaces into areas which will become wet and potentially be a hazard. We can combine this with anti-slip spray if necessary however in most cases the wet pour safety surface is not slippy if kept well maintained.
Some cruise ships even feature playgrounds for the kids and again our safety surfacing would go hand in hand with any playground. We would calculate critical fall height and ensure children were safe and their fall cushioned just as we would with a standard playground. We can create designs in the safety surfacing too and create maybe a sea, pirate or water theme which would be ideal for a cruise ship.
Also onboard cruise ships there is the option to have certain areas given the appearance of loose gravel with our resin bound or resin bonded surfaces however, the gravel would be bound together which is ideal in this situation.
Now more popular than ever both the wet pour safety surfaces and the resin bound and resin bonded gravel can be well utilised onboard a cruise ship and sometimes they are often overlooked.
More often than not there are a wide range of facilities onboard a cruise ship for passengers to make full use of and with this in mind we thought that our artificial grass would be ideal for say a crazy golf game or even a small golf course.
In addition we also supply artificial grass for sports like tennis and this would look fantastic onboard a cruise ship and give passengers chance to keep fit and enjoy a few games of tennis.
DCM Surfaces offer a wide range of safety surfaces in a vast range of colours so there is a colour to suit all cruise ship styles. We can even create designs and patterns into the wet pour safety surfacing including cruise ship names and also emblems which can add a real touch of class.
Our range of resin bound gravel and resin bonded gravel is again available in a wide range of colours and styles so again can complement any cruise ship décor.
In our artificial grass range again there are a number of styles available for a whole range of applications whether it is standard artificial grass, artificial grass for sport or even coloured artificial grass!
When you’re thinking about surfacing for cruise ships then think about wet pour safety surfacing, resin bound and resin bonded gravel as well as artificial grass! Speak to the experts at DCM Surfaces for more information and how we can help you.
