Interserve Scoops £35m Contract Extension With B&Q
Home improvement and garden centre retailer, B&Q, has chosen to extend its contract with Interserve.
The £35 million, three-year contract extension, includes all 361 B&Q stores throughout the UK and Ireland.
Included in the service provision is a new LEAN cleaning model introducing innovations, equipment and processes to improve customer services and cleaning delivery.
Paul Daly, managing director for national accounts at Interserve, said: "Over the past eight years we have built an excellent working partnership with B&Q, introducing a number of efficiencies through our LEAN processes such as water saving systems that reduce water usage by up to 90 per cent and mopping techniques that dry floors 75 per cent faster.
"We have also implemented processes to ensure that high importance zones are prioritised and response times are improved by 100 per cent so that areas are in service at all times. This approach is fundamental to our service provision, and we look forward to continuing to support B&Q in achieving their business goals."
