BAM Construction is seeking contractors in Cornwall and Devon as part of the company's supply chain expansion.
The building firm wants to hear from companies across the whole Cornwall and Devon regions providing services such as bricklaying, groundworks, carpentry, metalworks, plastering, drylining, landscaping, flooring, electrical, joinery, windows, and glazing.
"BAM is taking the chance to invite new firms to work with us as our portfolio across Devon and Cornwall continues to expand. There isn’t an area we don’t build in across the West Country," said Graham Kingdon, Construction Director. "So we are encouraging firms in this part of the country to come and meet us and tell us what they can do."
The company has arranged two events for local companies to attend. The first will be on April 15 at Truro Golf Club, Treliske, and the second on May 6 at Exeter Racecourse.
In the past four years BAM has handed over projects worth over £151m in the two counties alone.
Mr Kingdon added: "There are very encouraging signs across all our sectors – health, education, offices, leisure and retail – that BAM will be busy for some time. Clients are recognising that the strength of our local suppliers and knowledge is a key factor in how we deliver the quality that BAM is known for.
"This is a win-win situation. As we create more state of the art buildings across the West Country, our approach has always been to focus on bringing local economic benefits as a consequence. That’s a good model for how business in Britain should work."
