Planning Approved For Millbay Regeneration Scheme

English Cities Fund (ECF) has been granted planning approval by Plymouth City Council for a regeneration scheme at Millbay.

ECF, in partnership with Muse Developments, submitted an original plan in 2008 for over 400 homes, 4,000 square metres of business and retail space as well as a new School of Creative Arts.

The new plan includes up to 600 homes, 12,500 square metres of offices and 8,600 square metres of retail and leisure space.

There are also plans for a hotel, a multi-story car park and improvements to the public realm.

Duncan Cumberland, Development Director for Muse Developments, said: "The new Millbay masterplan takes into account the development which has already taken place and how future development will complete the regeneration of the area as a vibrant residential and cultural quarter as well as a key waterfront destination for Plymouth, as Britain’s Ocean City."
