Work is underway on the third phase of a regeneration scheme in London led by the joint venture (JV) English Cities Fund (ECf).
The JV between Muse Developments, Legal and General Property and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) will bring a further 216 homes to Canning Town in Newham.
The Rathbone Market scheme will cost £180 million and is part of the council's £3.7 billion Canning Town and Custom House regeneration programme.
So far the scheme has delivered 420 new homes, 44,000 sq ft of retail floor space, 12,000 sq ft of community facilities and two new public spaces.
Development Director for ECf said: "This phase represents the next piece in the jigsaw for Rathbone Market and will put Canning Town firmly back on the map as a residential destination in East London."
