Nash Partnership Signs Up To Go Green
Nash Partnership has signed up to the scheme 'Go Green Business', helping organisations in Bristol who want to make a difference to their local environment.
The Go Green initiative provides businesses and charities with a range of tools to help them work towards a sustainable future. The scheme encourages organisations to make a lasting difference by embedding the green agenda through a range of practices and measures.
Go Green is linked with Bristol’s status as European Green Capital 2015. It is run by Business West and Low Carbon South West, both of which Nash Partnership is a member.
At the centre of the scheme is a free online tool to help businesses create an action plan across five green themes. The plan also involves three stages of 'Say it', 'Do it' and 'Prove it'.
Nash Partnership’s action plan includes reducing waste in the office, sustainable sourcing, promoting sustainable travel choices, improving our learning culture and promoting staff well-being.
Nash Partnership also plans to take part in Business Green Week, an initiative to encourage Bristol’s workplaces to adopt greener business practices.
Around 200 other businesses and charities have created plans through the Go Green scheme.
Nash Partnership’s Planning Director and Go Green champion, Mike Fox, said: "We know how important the green agenda is for our staff and our clients, and never more so than during 2015, with the spotlight firmly on Bristol.
"As a growing practice, ensuring sustainability throughout our business is important. Our commitment to Go Green comes at a time when we are due to move into a new office in Bristol and we are keen to help make an impact. We want to do our bit towards helping Bristol become a low carbon city with a high quality of life for all and are excited to have pledged our support.
"We will continue to make sustainable improvements to our business and look forward to putting our Go Green plan into action."
