The new IEMA Lead Environmental Auditor course launched by Corporate Risk Systems (CRS) reflects the growing needs for organisations to improve their environmental management performance.
This improves their reputation with stakeholders and helps them to identify opportunities for savings.
Environmental Management is part of business, complex legal requirements, increasing customer and stakeholder specifications and pressure on the bottom line in areas such as waste, energy and transport costs.
This means that most organisations need to consider environmental issues.
This five-day course is approved and certified by IEMA (the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) for accreditation of auditors and lead auditors, and is designed to develop participants’ auditing skills through real-time application. The course is aligned to ISO 14001 and ISO 19011.
Working as a member of an audit team, the course has a "learning-then-applying" style through each of the three audit stages; preparation, conduct and reporting.
Participants plan their audit, conduct an opening meeting and interviews, evaluate documents and records, and prepare their report. The culmination of the class is a closing presentation to senior management.
All participants receive a copy of the best-selling book ‘Health and Safety, Environment and Quality Audits’ by Stephen Asbury.
Delegates who wish to gain audit skills in health and safety auditing should consider the CRS H&S auditing course, which is approved by IOSH.
