Casella, a leading manufacturer of occupational hygiene monitoring solutions, has been awarded a place on the Innovation Trail at the Safety & Health Expo.
By following the Innovation Trail through the Protection & Management Series across ExCeL, visitors can view the latest innovative products from the world’s leading manufacturers. This includes Casella’s new dBadge2 noise dosimeter and Apex2 personal sampling pump for dust, which have secured the company a place as a finalist in the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) Safety Award for product innovation.
Light-weight and ergonomically designed, the true innovation behind these products is their ability to connect wirelessly to smartphones and tablets via a specially designed app called Airwave.
These new devices provide an unprecedented level of control to occupational hygienists and those responsible for health and safety, minimising the likelihood of invalid data whilst maximising productivity.
The devices and app enable users to monitor a worker’s personal exposure to noise and dust remotely, in close to real-time and without disrupting their work.
Visitors will find Casella on stand P2334, where it will be showcasing the new devices.
Neal Hill, Product Line Manager at Casella, said: "In developing these new products we were keen to blaze a trail for personal noise and dust sampling, which is a key part of any risk assessment and making control decisions.
"Our customers told us that they’re using their smart phones and tablets more and more to help them to do their jobs, so we listened and provided a solution that makes reporting much easier and causes minimal disruption to the worker.
"Visitors to our stand will get a chance to experience these innovations for themselves and see live demonstrations of the devices in action."
