Scottish Galvanizers Marks Bain Partnership
A Glasgow-based company is marking a prestigious milestone achievement which has seen it protect security fencing for over two decades.
For over 20 years, Scottish Galvanizers – part of Wedge Group Galvanizing – has been working with the team at fellow Glasgow-based security fencing specialists Lochrin Bain to provide its molten zinc galvanizing treatment to the firm’s steel fencing, used to create up-to-date, Secured By Design & Home Office Approved perimeter security solutions for customers across the UK.
Lochrin Bain, which works from its purpose built manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Glasgow, has utilised galvanizing as a way of ensuring its steel fencing solutions are protected from weathering and rust, and provides its clients with a contemporary-look required for many new constructions.
Stephen Russell, Business Development Manager at Lochrin Bain, said: "As a company, we pride ourselves on creating and maintaining long and effective working relationships with our partners and we’re thrilled to have reached this prestigious milestone with Scottish Galvanizers.
"Because our fencing products are designed to last and are most commonly situated in rural or exposed areas, the galvanizing element ensures they are protected from corrosion for many years – an added-value service that our clients are extremely pleased with."
The company manufactures a wide range of security fencing products, providing a solution to clients that require strong and secure facility perimeters, including Scottish Power, SGN, Network Rail, Scottish Water and the National Grid.
Paul Tait, Customer Service Manager at Scottish Galvanizers, added: "It’s a more cost-effective way of getting a highly protective finish compared to other coating methods and can last for over 50 years without the need for regular maintenance or servicing.
"That’s proved very valuable to many of Lochrin Bain’s clients, which is why the amount of businesses requesting galvanizing for their security fencing requirements is growing.
"We’ve enjoyed our working partnership with Lochrin Bain and look forward to the next two decades ahead."
