Resurfacing Work Scheduled For M6
Resurfacing work on sections of the M6 near Carlisle are due to take place next week.A total of £50,000 will be spent on the southbound M6 around junction 44 resurfacing sections of lane one along with renewing road studs and markings.

As part of the carriageway being worked on runs past the entry slip road, this will be closed from 8pm on 24 June until 6am on 25 June.
Motorists seeking to join the southbound M6 at junction 44 will need to join the northbound, travel up to junction 45 and use the junction roundabout to join the southbound carriageway.
Peter Gee, Highways England Project Manager, said: "This small programme of repairs will help give motorway users safer and smoother journeys."
